Why It Matters
This isn't cynicism. It's arithmetic.
We vote for candidates who promise healthcare, climate action, and worker protections. Then those candidates take office — and the bills that actually pass are the ones their donors can live with. That's not a conspiracy. That's cause and effect.
The Democratic Party has the potential to be the vehicle for a genuine progressive majority. But that majority will never materialize as long as the donor class holds a veto over the platform. You can't serve two masters.
We're not asking the party to be perfect. We're asking it to choose people over PACs. That's what TakingOurPartyBack.org is here to do.
